After a two-year pause, the Vienna Opera Ball is returning in its 65th instalment on February 16th 2023.
The event’s famed opening ceremony is set to be themed in light of “100 Years of Viennese Dance and Operetta”, with Camilla Nylund and Andreas Schager performing pieces by Franz Lehár and Robert Stolz.
“It was my pleasure to create this programme,” the Vienna State Opera’s director Bogdan Roščić stated during a press conference on January 9th.
The Vienna Opera Ball will be broadcast live from 8:15 p.m. on February 16th 2023 via ORF 2 (Austria) and 3sat (Germany). https://wien.orf.at/stories/3189563/
